For most people, a beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of orthodontics, but orthodontics is more than just straight teeth. Orthodontics can change every smile, every meal and every kiss for the rest of your life. We can even help you sleep better.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or medical grade plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the front or back of the teeth. A constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, is used to move teeth to a corrected position.
This is a great time to wear braces! You can choose brackets that are clear or metallic color. You can choose the color of the ties that hold the wire in brackets. Braces and wires are smaller and less noticeable than they used to be. The latest materials move teeth more efficiently and with greater comfort. Concerned about nickel allergies? So are we. Our metal brackets are made of 100% titanium.
This is a great time to not wear braces! Some of you may have checked out Invisalign years ago and been told, that you were not a candidate for Invisalign. Well, Invisalign has come a long way from its early years. Invisalign is now celebrating over 3.5 million new smiles -Dr. Gleich & Dr. Leonard are ready to serve you! Over the years, the product has become much more sophisticated and is now able to reliably treat a wide variety of orthodontic problems
Treatment time typically ranges from one to two years, depending on the growth of the patient’s mouth and face and the severity of the problem. Patients grow at differing rates and respond differently to orthodontic treatment, so the time to complete treatment may be longer or shorter than the original estimate. Patient cooperation and good oral hygiene are important factors in achieving the most efficient treatment time. Interceptive, or early treatment procedures, may take as few as six months.
A successful practice doesn't just happen. It is the result of a strong commitment to excellence in our treatment and in our relationships with patients and doctors.
